University of Kerbala organizes a training course entitled (Concepts of Sustainability in Designing Residential Houses)
The College of Engineering, Department of Architecture at the University of Kerbala, in cooperation with the Continuing Education, organized a training course entitled (Sustainability Concepts in the Design of Residential Houses), with the participation of researchers and specialists from the University of Kerbala and outside it.

The course was attended by a group of professors from the Architectural Department, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ibrahim Muhammad Allawi, and a group of the department’s students.
The course aimed to focus on the concept of sustainability and its social, economic and environmental dimensions, and recommended clarifying the spatial distribution process for residential homes and contemporary spaces newly present in Iraqi residential homes, in addition to local building materials and local elements used in the design of residential facades, which achieves sustainability requirements.
